Project Idea
The Smart bridge this project is inovated to prevent the bridge collapse/ distruction like Morbi, Gujarat . The Smart Bridge Project is a cutting-edge solution designed to prevent the collapse of bridges by effectively managing visitor capacity. This project utilizes ultrasonic sensors to accurately detect the number of visitors on the bridge. The visitor count is then displayed on a 16x2 LCD display in real-time.
The main objective of this project is to ensure the safety and structural integrity of the bridge by preventing overcrowding. In the event that the number of visitors exceeds the predetermined limit, a buzzer is activated, and a red light turns on as a warning signal.
By employing ultrasonic sensors strategically placed on the bridge, the system can detect the presence of visitors. These sensors emit ultrasonic waves and measure the time taken for the waves to bounce back after hitting an object, enabling an accurate count of visitors on the bridge.
The visitor count is then displayed on a 16x2 LCD display, providing real-time information to bridge authorities and visitors. This allows for proactive management of visitor capacity and prevents overcrowding, which can potentially lead to the collapse of the bridge.
In case the number of visitors exceeds the predefined limit, indicating a potential safety risk, the buzzer is activated, and a red light turns on to alert authorities and visitors to take necessary precautions.
The Smart Bridge project in Morbi, Gujarat serves as a crucial measure to enhance the safety and longevity of bridges. By effectively managing visitor capacity, this project mitigates the risk of overcrowding and ensures the structural integrity of the bridge, ultimately preventing the collapse of bridges and ensuring the safety of all visitors.
