I have a CRT computer monitor, LG Studioworks 552v model, but this is not working now. There is LED light in the front panel, but there is no display.
It is not new one but old - some 5 or more years approx. Kindly help me to find a solution for this. What may me problem?
I wonder you are still using CRT Monitor, they are outdated now. However, there are thousands of reasons for a monitor not to work. But start with either connecting another CPU to this monitor or connect the CPU to another monitor and see if the problem is with CPU.
Also tell me if it shows "NO SIGNAL", when you disconnect the CPU from it.

Hi,
Please be careful while opening CRT monitor as it contains High Voltage!!!!. Do not touch SMPS ground and Computer / CRT monitor secondary Ground !!!!!. Do not Touch RED/Black cap attached with CRT Monitor!!!
Check if you can seem small Filament Glow on CRT neck. If yes, there could be an issue with Dry soldering on LOT coil. Switch off Monitor, wait for 10 mints befor touching circuit, check for dry soldering near LOT.
If no Filament Glow, check 110V on secondary side of Power supply.

Verify that no pins are loose, bent, or missing on the cable or the connectors on the CRT and video card, and then tighten the cable at both ends, If that doesn't fix the problem, open the computer, remove the video card, and reseat it fully.
The cathode-ray tube is a vacuum tube that contains one or more electron guns and a phosphorescent screen and is used to display images. It modulates, accelerates, and deflects electron beam onto the screen to create the images. The images may represent electrical waveforms, pictures (television, computer monitor), radar targets, or other phenomena. CRTs have also been used as memory devices, in which case the visible light emitted from the fluorescent material is not intended to have significant meaning to a visual observer.
In television sets and computer monitors, the entire front area of the tube is scanned repetitively and systematically in a fixed pattern called a raster. In color devices, an image is produced by controlling the intensity of each of the three electron beams, one for each additive primary color with a video signal as a reference.

Hi,
Since your monitor does not display anything make sure your source source (CPU) is working properly. Try connecting a functional monitor to check if you are getting the picture there.
The life expectency of a CRT monitor is around 8 year on average. Did you monitor show any signs of blur display or balck and white display before it turned off completely? In that case the problem should either be with the power video adapter or the CRT Tube itself, either case it is not worth repairing your display and a replacement would be a lot better.
Caution: Unless you know what you are doing do not try to open and repair a CRT monitor by yourself. Like all doomed displays they operate on high voltage and have large capacitors which can store power even after weeks you turn off the display.
