MP10 from Monoprice-134438 could be a perfect fit. However, it is good to avoid DIY printers.
Not so long ago, 3D printers were confined to industry-only use, costing tens of thousands. Nowadays, there are consumer printers available at every corner, with more popping up by the day.If you are eager to try out the technology, it might be best to check out a fab lab or makerspace in your area. Depending on your need, a 3D printer can be expensive and have a steep learning curve. Talking with experienced users of 3D printers will quickly help you sound out if the technology.

I agree with the statement of Olivia Williams.
I started out about 4-5 years ago with a kickstarter funded 3d printer, produced by a company inexperienced with the technology.
After a lot of adventures and mistakes I came to the conclusion I just want a printer that works reliably and have a decent customer support,
after all, I want to use the machine, not spending my time fiddling around with it to get to try it to work.
But it means spending the money, but it's worth it if you print on a regular basis.
Get experience in a fablab and get advice there. After 6 months - 1 year you will be surpriced about the things you have picked up.
And you will have a very good idea what product fits your needs.

At this price point FDM printers can be available. You could consider Creality Ld002r. What is your requirement? print size? features?
